My classic Sarah Smock in a beautiful deep sky blue.
Made in my new antique-washed linen, this dress drapes beautifully. The fabric has a lovely mid-heavier weight which is perfect for wearing and layering over the cooler months. The antique-wash really does give the appearance of a beautiful crumpled French antique linen (the linen itself was grown in France). Please be aware that the antique-wash treatment means that some of the slubs in the linen appear a little faded - this is not a fault, in fact, it's what gives the authentic antique look. This is my favourite linen fabric to work with and wear.
The Sarah Smock is enduring and has found its way into many wardrobes via my stall at Emu Plains Market in 2021-22. At that stage it was sold in a shorter length. The longer dress length is more versatile as it can be worn as a dress or long top.
Deep round neckline, 3/4 sleeves, flattering gathering under the arms and two generous patch pockets at the front.
I wear mine (I have several) in all seasons, simply on their own in warmer weather & layered up over t-shirts, jeans, pants, leggings and under cardigans and jackets in the cooler months.
Care label is sewn into the left side seam.
