Named after my childhood Fletcher Jones kilt-on-a-bodice, the idea behind the Jones Slip Skirt was sketched by me back in about 2014-15. As a large woman, I was finding waisted skirts problematic as they dipped at the front and rose at the back. I thought that there must be a way to hang a skirt so that it was loose over the waist - and I remembered my tiny kilt which was fitted on a bodice, as little girls didn't have a waist to rest the waistband on!
It's so very comfortable to wear, and there is no need to constantly readjust the waistband - because there isn't one! Pop a top or two over the bodice and create extra layers as you like. Wear it over tights, leggings or my Ruffled Petticoat in either ivory or black. The skirt hemline is generous, deep and moves beautifully.
The bodice is a high quality 100% cotton and the skirt is a beautiful mid-weight !00% linen. I have created a wide and comfortable shoulder so that it doesn't slip while wearing. There are no fastenings, so just pop over your head.
Care label is stitched inside the left side seam.
